Procurement services in China

MeliPrep services can be hired separately. You can take only the quality inspection on an order you have already bought yourself, or only consolidation if you already have several suppliers shipping to our warehouse. Most clients start with a single service and add the rest once they see how we work.

MeliPrep does work with small orders, but the percentage commission stops being efficient below roughly USD 2,000 of goods, because the fixed costs of inspection and handling weigh more than the percentage. Below that threshold we group your cargo with another client's and charge a flat minimum.

MeliPrep does not handle counterfeit goods, brand replicas, products that infringe patents or items whose import is prohibited or restricted in the destination country. We also do not move goods that require special licences we cannot verify, such as certain chemical precursors or dual-use equipment without certification.

The goods are paid for in yuan (RMB) into the supplier company's account inside China. Our commission and the freight are invoiced in US dollars. For a first order we usually work with a deposit that covers the purchase and a second payment before shipment, once the inspection report has been approved.
